The most radiant thing about Andaman is its stunning beaches. Smooth sands, shimmering blue waters, and exhilarating water sports make few of the beaches in Andaman the top tourist attractions.
1. Radhanagar Beach – Havelock Island
As one of the most beautiful beaches in Asia, Radhanagar Beach is one of the major tourist attractions of Havelock Island. The turquoise sea and white sand beaches are where you can isolate yourself from the stress of daily life and where the sea-breeze caresses your soul to the most serene and impeccable ambience. The panoramic sights of the setting sun and the transformation of the colour of the sky from blue to warm colours before the stars and the moon take over is just breath-taking. This is a sight you not only capture in a frame-worthy photograph but that flawless sight is imprinted in your memory forever.
2. Laxmanpur Beach – Neil Island
Exploring the underrated and unexplored spots can turn into a beautiful adventure for some. This beach has quite a lot of hidden gems. The beautiful sights and peaceful aura are soul-soothing at the LaxmanPur Beach. This beach is a must to check out for inquisitive travellers and explorers.
3. Bharatpur Beach – Neil Island
Bharatpur Beach in Neil Island is a stunning white sand beach. The beach is quite popular for its coral reef and beautiful lush green vegetation. You can relax and enjoy the calm and serene or you can indulge in activities like swimming and coral watching. Bharatpur Beach definitely won’t be a disappointment to you. In the morning the beach is perfect for snorkelling while in the evening the sunset sight will just woo you. This is the only beach in Neil Island where you can indulge in water sports activities like jet ski rides and scuba diving. Here non-swimmers can also enjoy some dips as the water is shallow.
4. Kalapathar Beach – Havelock Island
Kalapathar Beach offers a beautiful blue sea alongside the long stretch of silky white sand with black rocks making it more radiant. The beach is situated on one corner of Havelock Island, which is the continuation of beach number 5. During peak season, the Kalapathar Beach is a bit crowded, but you can find yourself completely alone if you keep moving south. The waters are not affected by high tides and are deep enough to swim.
5. Elephant Beach – Havelock Island
A secluded beach with calm clear blue waters and white sand, Elephant Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of Andaman. Unfortunately, tsunami 2004 swept away the majority of the beach. The ancient trees lying on the beach form an asymmetric pattern that enhances the magnificence of the beach. The corals here are closer to the shore and one of the most beautiful ones on the island. During snorkelling and sea-walking tours the beach can be a bit crowded.
Now that you have the list of ‘not-to-miss’ beaches of Andaman, you have your Andaman trip planned.
